Highlights of the Woman's Baptist E&M Convention 2015
President Audrey Neal
Happy, Hot Summer! First of all, I would like to thank you for a wonderful Annual Session. God blessed us beyond measure, and I would like to thank you for allowing Him to bless us both spiritually and financially.
On a personal note, thank you for your liberal love offering. When people do something for you when they don’t have to, it is always fitting to say, “thank you.” Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Now that July is here, I would like to remind you of the “birthday” recommendation: Everyone who has a birthday in July should send their birthday blessing to your Executive District Board Member. Since my birthday is in September, I will be sending my blessing to Ms. Antoinette Muldrow or Mrs. Julia Lewis in September. However, Mrs. Mary Alice Graham has to send her blessing this month because her birthday is in July.
Ladies, I pray that all of you will participate in this birthday blessing. Thank you in advance for what you are going to do.
Yours for the Cause,
Audrey P. Neal
2016 Presidential Recommendations
I hereby submit the following recommendations for your consideration and action:
1. That we continue to support our higher education initiative through Morris and Benedict Colleges.
2. That we continue our district level“Outreach Mission Project,” which is conducted on the third Saturday in September. Each associational woman’s auxiliary will sponsor a project in their respective locale under the auspices of our State Convention.
3. That we initiate a statewide “Birthday Project” that will be facilitated through each of our six districts. The districts will be asked to appoint a person as captain of the birthday project for each month during the calendar year. The goal for each month shall be five thousand dollars ($5,000). At the end of each month, fifty percent of the funds generated shall be remitted to our state treasurer for the purpose of underwriting our support of Morris College. The fifty percent retained by the district shall be used for mission projects developed locally through the participating auxiliaries.
